A Subtlety, also known as The Marvelous Sugar Baby, is a 35-foot-tall, sugar-covered sculpture by Kara Walker that was installed in Brooklyn’s Domino Sugar Refinery in 2014. The sphinx-like figure depicts a woman with African features, surrounded by 15 smaller attendant sculptures.
