We widen stock steel rims to fit custom wider tires. We first build a simple homemade cutting jig for accurate cutting, then widen the rims from 4J to 8J to suit the tires. A 4"/100mm wide strip of steel is rolled to the correct diameter, then welded in using the same jig.
